In answer to the email which you have received that has been circulating indiscriminately, the Universal Beverage Base used for Starbucks Frappuccino® Blended Cream (vanilla, chocolate, caramel and green tea) is safe for Muslim consumption as it contains mono-and diglycerides (E471) derived from soybean oils. The cherries mentioned in your email are not a product that we offer in Starbucks as our Raspberry Frappuccino® Blended Tea is derived from juices that are extracted from various berries mixed with brewed tea and our tiramisu cakes do not contain any alcohol.
